Performer Refutes Anti-Vaxxer Views After Lending His Voice To Controversial Coronavirus Film

Liam Neeson has lent his narration to a recent film that questions the legitimacy of vaccines and lauds one-time health official Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The Film's Provocative Basis

Named "Plague of Corruption," the project is based on a well-known publication written by Judy Mikovits, who became famous during the health crisis for assertions that the illness was linked to a problematic version of the flu vaccine.

The publication's collaborator, Kent Heckenlively, has penned books with controversial media personality a known commentator. The producer took to social media praising Neeson's role in the documentary.

A Strong Statement

Representatives for Liam Neeson have issued a statement pushing back against suggestions that he subscribes to anti-vax views.

"Many acknowledge that misconduct might be present within the drug industry, but that should never be equated to rejection of vaccines," the response states. "Liam never has been, and is not, anti-vax. His long work with the UN children's agency highlights his long-held support for public-health initiatives."

It continued that the star was not involved in crafting the documentary's narrative and that concerns about its assertions are best addressed to the creators.

Major Assertions Within the Film

As presented, the script spoken by Neeson makes several strong points:

  • It states that pro-vaccine voices have insisted on "complete compliance" to government bodies.
  • It declares that "research has become highly politicised."
  • Robert F Kennedy Jr is interviewed stating, "The major issue with vaccines is that they just aren't safely tested."
  • The film also criticizes stay-at-home orders, saying they caused severe distress that cost thousands of lives.
  • Concerning the immunizations, it mentions a perspective that they were "rushed to market" and seen as "risky trials."

Historical Controversy and Recent Issues

The film also references a past television report about AIDS medication trials on children, which was later the subject of a correction by the corporation for editorial breaches.

Last month, RFK Jr instructed the Centers for Disease Control to change its longstanding position that there is no link between immunizations and autism spectrum disorder. This claim is echoed in the documentary, contrary to a fresh analysis from the World Health Organisation confirming no evidence has been found.

A Past Record of Endorsement

Contrasting the documentary's tone, Neeson has formerly shown firm endorsement for vaccines in his position as a charity ambassador.

Two years ago, he described vaccines as "an extraordinary human success story," noting that "The debate about vaccines in recent years has lost sight of how much good they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest human endeavors in history."

The film concludes with Neeson's narration saying, "This is not the end of our journey. Rather, it is the start of a new chapter."
