British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Hospital in Nigeria Following Tragic Car Crash
Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has been released from care, local government spokespeople stated on late Wednesday. The athlete was caught in a vehicular crash in the Lagos area on the 29th of December, a tragic incident that took the lives of two of his team members.
Under Observation for Minor Injuries
The sports star had been under observation while healing from his light wounds, representatives had said on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, confirmed in an update online that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to “recuperate at home”.
“Anthony and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two departed friends as they were being readied to be sent home,” the commissioner stated.
Remembering the Victims
Those who lost their lives were identified as Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. It was also noted that the athlete was heartbroken and overcome with emotion over the tragic loss of his two trusted companions.”
The news of his discharge follows the global fight fans offered sympathy for the star in the following the terrible crash.
