Aircraft Carrying US Defense Secretary Required to Land in UK Because of Crack in Cockpit Window
A jet ferrying the US defense secretary was forced to make an unscheduled landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday due to a fissure was identified in the jet's front window, as stated by an official announcement which verified that Hegseth was safe.
"The aircraft landed in accordance with standard protocol and all passengers, including Secretary Hegseth, is secure," an official representative stated in a social media post.
The secretary was coming back from a quick journey to the city of Brussels during the flight.
This incident is not the initial instance that a American defense plane transporting a top government figure has encountered equipment failures.
In a previous incident this year, a American military jet transporting Marco Rubio to Munich was forced to turn back to the US capital after encountering a mechanical fault.
